Do You Write To Music? Here’s My Playlist Of The Moment

I mostly write surrounded by silence, but sometimes, just sometimes, I need music in the background. Music that’s inspiring as well as in tune with the story I’m working on. It helps me a lot, especially when I’m getting close to a blocked state or when I’m simply just exhausted.

Here’s my “Playlist of the moment.” I’m jostling with a dark piece right now, so my playlist has gotten a bit dark as well. Case in point Daughter’s “Medicine” and Jetta’s “I’d love to change the world.” But I am also looking forward to an uplifting end, hence I included the bright “Over the rainbow.”

I wonder if anyone else does the same and if you see any benefits in using music while writing. Would love to hear opinions.
