Don’t be misled by the grumpy cat. That’s just my warped sense of humor wanting to have a kitty shower its affectionate glare at an overcast Saturday.
There’s actually a fun new feature on Amazon that I wanted to share.
Yesterday I noticed a new thing when I was checking some search results on Amazon. There was suddenly this series view of my books after all my books are listed singly. Like this below:
See how the two books are grouped at the bottom?
When I clicked the combined listing, I was taken to a series page:
It is pretty awesome. There’s a separate series review section, which I believe will be tracked separately from the individual books. Right now, my combined page has no reviews while the books do individually.
There have been reports of Amazon testing out this feature across the US, but this is my first time seeing it. I have to check it out some more, but so far I like the presentation.
One word of caution, this from people who have seen errors in the listing: be careful in adding the series information in the books and make sure they are consistent, so Amazon is able to identify correctly which books make a series and which do not. Obviously, if the software doesn’t find a clear link between your books, this won’t work.
I’m off to checking out some of my favorite authors now. Have a great weekend!
