Announcing a new serialized novel starting in July, Elementals.
Here’s the blurb:
The GROUST is watching.
Löthia is at peace–after a millennium of genetic tinkering there has been no anomalous incident in the last 300 years. The Löthians’ power over the elements has been obliterated. The elemental wars between the Peaks and the Flats that have plagued their civilization from the beginning of time is nothing more than distant history.
But how long will that peace last? And how far will the GROUST go to keep Löthia from falling apart once again?
If you’re still reading, here’s a more detailed peek at the story:
When Anavyx Elon, a seventeen year old girl from the Peaks, unleashes a fatal storm of spontaneous ice spatter, that tenuous peace disappears in the blink of an eye.
Her father, Tomlyn Elon, is the feared war strategist of the GROUST, an organization that terminated the last of the fire and the water elementals. Tomlyn finds his world turned on its head when his only child is flagged a primary threat to his nation. The hunter becomes the hunted, their only refuge lies across the Great river, in the wilderness of the Flats.
But the path to the Flats is through the lawless canyon lands that cradles the Great river. Bandits and bounty hunters, force-mutated elementals turned free-roving assassins, remnants of every GROUST project gone wrong–the Great river and its fringes hold them all.
It will be one perilous journey, if not impossible.
Note from the author’s desk:
I started this project for a handful of reasons–experimenting with Kindle Unlimited, experimenting with writing in an episodic style and creating short fiction and build up a body of works and an array of offerings. Never expected to be so hooked with serial writing.
I’m a laid back sort in my writing. My comfort zone? Long works that take time to get through. Sure the plots are intricate, but there’s little “in your face” action in the very first page. So, understandably, I was skeptical about trying this episodic fiction thing.
HA! What a fun journey it has been so far. Hope people reading it will enjoy as much.
Coming in July.
