Elementals–Episode 1 is now LIVE!

Excited to announce that the first episode of Elementals is now available on Amazon.

In addition to being thrilled as usual with the newest one, I’m doubly happy because this is another first try that has so far surprised me immensely. I have always wanted to delve into serial fiction because I think it’s a great way to develop as a writer. Knew it was going to be difficult but tried anyway. So glad I did, because it shows me how far I’ve come from “I can write only one book” and “I’m not a short fiction writing kind” mindset.

Also, it’s a deviation content-wise. This is science fiction, but has lot of thrilling, chilling, killing components. The language is mature as well. So, it’s definitely NOT recommended for kids.

It’s all so different, yet I’m having so much fun writing the series. It’s weird, really. Even a year ago, I wouldn’t have believed if you told me I would be writing serial fiction.

So, to all fellow writers out there–don’t be afraid to try new things. Do not put yourself into a box. You might just surprise yourself like I did. No big deal if you fail, remember you’ve learned a lot many things on the way, so it’s not really a failure.

Here’s the first line and the second of Episode 1 – Anomaly.

Nothing during the course of the grouchy summer day indicated that, by the time it was over, seventeen-year-old Anavyx Elon would be accused of the grisliest murder in recent Löthian history.

Dual complete moons blazed across the purple skies of Löthia that evening, and there shouldn’t have been any interruptions to Anavyx’s routine, yet there was.

For now, Anomaly is only available on Kindle. There will be a print version and a boxed set after the season is complete.

Episode 2 will be released on July 31.

S.G. Basu is an aspiring potentate of a galaxy or two. She plots and plans with wondrous machines, cybernetic robots, time travelers and telekinetic adventurers, some of whom escape into the pages of her books. Once upon a previous life on planet Earth, S.G. Basu trained to be an engineer, and her interest in science and her love of engineering shows up time and again in her books.
