Another Trailer Released : Star Trek Beyond

And . . .  another one is out. This time it’s Star Trek Beyond, also set for Summer 2016. It was supposed to be aired in theaters before the new Star Wars, but because of a leak online, Paramount released it early.

Minus J. J. Abrams, Star Trek Beyond continues on with his stellar cast (Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana,  Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, and John Cho), with the directorial control now in the hands of Justin Lin. Yes, the same Justin Lin who brought us four Fast & Furious movies.

The trailer does feel like Fast and Furious, USS Enterprise style. It is energetic, almost like a whirlwind, and far from the original Star Trek sensibilities.

No complaints here. Only a long eager wait for some rollicking fun.

In other news, one day until The Force Awakens.

S.G. Basu is an aspiring potentate of a galaxy or two. She plots and plans with wondrous machines, cybernetic robots, time travelers and telekinetic adventurers, some of whom escape into the pages of her books. Once upon a previous life on planet Earth, S.G. Basu trained to be an engineer, and her interest in science and her love of engineering shows up time and again in her books.
