Yes!!! The Eternity Prophecy has been awarded a contract by Kindle Press.
Thank you, everyone, for the tremendous support I received with the book. I couldn’t have done it without you.
After 45 days of submitting and campaigning and struggling to not get my hopes up too much (after all, the KS acceptance rate is assumed to be 3% or less), I got the sweet acceptance email from the Kindle Scout team this morning.
The news is extra special because it came right before the new year, so I can start 2017 with an extra push of confidence. I can also go back to being carefree again and not dread opening my email. Yeah, that’s been me since my campaign ended 10 days ago.
There’s also a feeling of facing the unknown. For the first time in my publishing career, I’ll be placing one of my works in the hands of an external publisher. The thought of loss of control does wake up a few butterflies in my stomach but I keep reminding myself–it’s Amazon. If anyone knows anything about today’s publishing market, it’s them and I’d trust no one else but them with my work.
So, another 2016 adventure comes to a wonderful end. The experience has been awesome, I’ve learned tons, and I’ve made so many friends along the way that contract or not, I’d have been plenty happy.
As I learn more of the process going forward, I’ll document my experience here in case someone finds the information useful.
Thank you once again to everyone who clicked, browsed, and nominated The Eternity Prophecy. If you nominated the book, you’ll receive your FREE copy directly from Kindle Press when it is launched. Isn’t that sweet?
I’ll be back with more soon . . .
