The final book of The Lightbound Saga (200,000+ words, 650+ pages) is now complete. And I wrote this mammoth in a little over 3 months. I am happy, proud, and most of all so thankful to have brought this series (6 novels, 800,000 words, 3000 pages in total) to a satisfying conclusion. My middle-grader, the biggest fan of Maia and the gang and a super member of my beta team, finished reading it in a day. She gave me two thumbs up and I couldn’t be any happier.
Yay for 2022! It has been a hectic but super enjoyable last few months and a very productive year. It was about time too.
Without further ado, here’s the cover of Maia and the Legend of Tansi. This is one of my favorite covers of the series, I just love the colors my artist chose for it. As with everything else with this book, the length of it came as a surprise, too. It is HUGE at 200,000+ words. It is the longest book I have ever written and will probably stay that way for a while. So yes, the projected Oct 1 launch date moved to Nov 15 and everyone, starting from the alpha readers, to my editor, to the beta team, everyone needed extra time for this one.
But, boy oh boy, has this been fun to write or what? I have laughed, I have cried with Maia in this book, and had sooo much fun along the way. I hope you have just as much fun reading it.
As a thanks to you all, I have a special preorder price of $4.99 (regular post-launch price of $8.99) for Maia and the Legend of Tansi from now until Nov 10. Click on the book or the link below to be taken to the preorder page on Amazon.
More coming soon!
